YUMMY INTERACTIVE LAUNCHES ANDROID SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE AT E3

New Android game subscription service allows ISPs, telecommunication companies and game distributors to offer monthly subscriptions.

Published:

LOS ANGELES, June 11, 2013 – Yummy Interactive is releasing a new service that empowers game service providers, telecommunication companies and game portals to offer subscription bundles to their mobile customers. Android users will be able to subscribe to a bundle of games and choose several titles from their bundle to play each month. This new service will allow users in emerging markets to play android games at a fraction of what they would cost to purchase. With a subscription service game publishers’ revenue share will be based on a steady monthly revenue stream instead of purchase and download. Traditionally, revenue from pure sales in emerging markets has eluded game publishers.

Yummy’s service will provide users access to 100’s of premium android titles, with new titles added each month. The android market is the fastest growing mobile/tablet market in the world, becoming the clear leader in key countries like China, Brazil and India. The cost for an android game might seem low by North American or European standards but in emerging markets it creates a significant barrier to acquisition. Yummy’s Android subscription service is priced appropriately for service providers in these markets, yet scales easily for western markets.

Companies like BigRebel.com have stepped up and adopted this platform because of its flexibility, the value of the catalog and the potential it creates for emerging markets. “We were able to adopt the new android subscription platform in just under two weeks”, said Christopher W. Yan, VP of Business Development and Acquisitions at BigRebel. “We are very excited to be Yummy’s first partner with these premium Android games. Coupled with the thousands of games we already have in our catalog plus our movie, music and book services, our subscribers are getting tremendous value. We are looking forward to increasing our global reach with this additional premium content”.

Yummy will be demoing the new service at E3 in Los Angeles from June 11-13, 2013. Contact us today if you’d like to learn more or if you’d like a demo.
